Q :Can we have colour and black and white photographs?

A : All images can be provided in colour or black and white, or sepia.

Q : How many photos will I get on my DVD?

A : On average you will have about 300 to 600 images, depending which option you choose to have: Gold; Sliver or Platinum. These will be ready after your honeymoon.

Q : What if the weather is bad?

A : The weather is all part of the day. Ideally I would prefer a wedding at 8.00 or 16.00 hrs when the light at it's softest but that doesn't happen. The weather on the day  is all part of the atmosphere of your day. Don't worry to much, bad weather doesn't mean bad photographs; reflected light from wet ground creates even better lighting than on a sunny day. Give a nice natural look. But it it's teaming down with rain we'll just have to be more inventive and take the shots inside. I tend to check the weather forecast before setting out to find a friendly window in a storm. I also bring along black and white umbrellas for you to use.

Q : Do you cover the whole wedding?

A : Depends on which option you choose to have: Gold; Sliver or Platinum. Sliver, and we're there at the "fake cake cutting"; Gold, until the first dance; Platinum, until you go. Having said that we might stay on a bit and enjoy the party if that's all right with you.

Q : What style of photos do you take?

A : Contemporary a mixture of formal groups shots and natural events as they unfold during the day. A record of the day.

Q : Can I pay in instalments?

A : Yes. Talk to us. Payments can be made by cheque, standing orders or visa cards.

Q : Can I do what I want with the photos.?

A : The copyright of the photographs belong to Shoot 1st Photography, as the artist. This should be acknowledged where appropriate and a reference to this should be placed near wherever a photograph is displayed.  They are not use for commercial use or gain. Images uploaded to social networking sites and other internet sites require our permission to protect both parties as images on these sites can be copied easily.

Q : How far do you travel?

A : No limit. Depends on your budget. I've taken wedding pictures in the St Lucia in the Caribbean, Estepona in Spain and Tuscany in Italy to name a few.

Q : How many photographers do you use?

A : Normally I work by myself. On large events I enlist the help of some very good friends and photographers who compliment my style and work ethics.

Q Do you ever attend more than 1 wedding a day.

No.

Q How many pictures can we have in our album?

The number of photographs you choose for your album is unlimited; you do not have to stick to the number of pictures you booked in your package. Our albums take up to 250 pictures and if you would like more we will provide a second album. Extra pictures can be purchased for your album at the time of viewing for £20 each which includes extra album pages, extra design, and retouching and printing. Most couples select between 180-250 pictures for their album with the average order being around the number of 200 in an album. We recommend at least 120 pictures if you would like to tell the complete story of your wedding day.

Q Do we need to feed you?

Yes please. Food and water!! If you've booked the Silver or Platinum we will be with you a fair length of time so a hot meal would be nice.

Q What about quality?

All off the materials used in our albums are of the highest quality. Our on-line print house delivers the highest quality prints that we have seen.  Certainly if you find that you have any cause to question the quality of the products offered will repair or replace them instantly.

Q Will our guests be able to order prints?

Once all the best photographs have been processed an edited I put them on line. You and your guests will have a password to access the pictures and select as many or as few as you like and they will appear through your letter box in a very short time. Prices depend on the size but they are normally around £14.0 for an 8" x 6". You can have a look at the system by clicking here.

Q What would happen if you could not be present to photograph our wedding?

I've never missed a wedding or any event come to think of it. But it might happen so I maintain a list of trusty photographer friends and photographers working in a similar style who would take over the event. It's a reciprocal thing between photographers as we tend to work individually style wise.

Q How long will the photography take at the Church?

I tend to take the group shots first and need about 20 mins depending on the party size. Then I need the bride and groom for 15 min. away from their guests.

Q How do we get our album?

I will let you know, by email, as soon as it's ready. I do like you to collect it because I like to see the smiles but if your busy then I can post it but it will cost a little more. Normally £18.0 to £25.0 - payable by cheque.

Q How do we get an album for our parents?

If it's exactly the same layout then just let me know you want an additional 1 or 2 and I'll work out a discounted price for you. I call them parent albums by the way. If you would like slight amendments to the original, some pictures out and new ones in, this can be done as well.
